We ordered take out on a Tuesday night. I called in at 5pm & our food was ready for pick up 25 mins later. The employees who answered the phone and who gave us our order were very polite and kind. We ordered Pad Thai with no peanuts for my husband; he said it could have been spicier, I'm sure I could have ordered it with more spice. And I had sweet & sour chicken w/white rice. I appreciate that they packaged the sauce separate so my chicken wasn't soggy. Both dishes were fresh, warm, and delicious. When the man gave my husband our order he also gave us a menu to take home and told him they deliver as well. Will definitely be going back. *sorry about the pics, didn't think about taking a pic until we were half way thru dinner lol*

The BEST crab rangoons in the Midwest! Now that is a huge title to live up to, but the Mandarin Cafe truly earned it. I could sit and eat those fried crabmeat rangoons for hours! Some of my family's favorite dishes include their Mongolian Beef, Combination Lo Mein, Orange Chicken, and their (not-so-secret) menu item: Honey Walnut Shrimp! The owners of this local restaurant are the SWEETEST family and I highly recommend supporting them if you find yourself in the Perry area. No one makes Chinese food better than they do! Definitely worth the drive from Des Moines.
I was very impressed. I had the beef and scallops. It was in a spicy brown sauce that was very different than anything I have had at a Chinese restaurant. Deep and rich flavor, with just enough spice. The beef was tender, but was a little short on the scallop part. For the price you can't complain too much. The service was great, very friendly and very attentive. I can't wait to come back through Perry and give it another try. Next time I hope they have the Pho back on the menu. It was on the menu, but not available when I ate there.
